Dental implants offer new life to your smile

Implants are artificial tooth roots that have the potential to last longer than any other type of restoration used in modern dentistry.  Their biocompatible nature enables the body to accept the titanium root and form new bone around it, anchoring implants permanently in place and strengthening your jaw.

Types of implant restorations

Depending on the number of teeth that you have missing, Dr. Uta will recommend an appropriate restoration to rest on top of your new dental implants.

individual crowns

When only one tooth needs to be replaced, a single implant is anchored into the jaw and then restored with an individual porcelain crown.

implant bridges

Replace three or four teeth in a row with as few as two implants.  Implant supported bridges offer a more permanent option than wearing a removable denture, or filing down healthy teeth to anchor a traditional bridge in place.

implant retained dentures

An implant is extremely strong, and as few as four of them can be used to support an entire full-mouth prosthesis such as an All-on-4 denture.  Retained and implant supported dentures can be permanently anchored into the jaw, or removable with the aid of locators.  The permanent hybrid options resemble the appearance of an extended dental bridge, rather than that of a bulky, conventional denture.

Am i a candidate for dental implants?

Our Orland Park implant dentist will thoroughly examine your oral anatomy to determine whether or not implants are the best option to restore your bite.  If excessive bone loss has occurred, we may recommend a graft for additional support.  A full mouth series of x-rays will be necessary to thoroughly assess your jaw structure and make a final decision on treatment options.
